  A Taste of Lark: Chili and Chowder Edition will be held on Lark Street in Albany in conjunction with the 13th Annual Santa Speedo Sprint on December 15, from noon to 4 PM. Enjoy $1 samples of chili and chowder from area restaurants as you stroll through Albany’s classic Lark Street neighborhood, fully decked out for the holidays! A Taste Of Lark: Chili and Chowder Edition is free and open to the public.

Guests are able to tour, at their leisure, the beautiful and historic homes and hidden gardens that make up the Center Square, Hudson/Park and Washington Park neighborhoods. Residents of these neighborhoods open their homes and gardens for one night only. Included in the tour again this year is the delightful Hudson-Jay Park, where guests will find creatively designed floral, vegetable and herb pots being raffled off to support park beautification. Ben & Jerry’s will be scooping ice cream to celebrate the first day of summer! Neighborhood restaurants, offering a great range of cuisines, along with charming shops, are part of the fun spirit that makes for a full evening in this unique locale. The Annual Meeting of the Membership will be held at Lark Hall, (351 Hudson Ave.) on Wednesday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m. We will review the BID’s activities in 2018 and to date, and discuss current and future projects, initiatives and goals for continuing to serve the merchants and residents of the Lark Street BID Corridor. This is an opportunity to network with other stakeholders in the neighborhood and learn more about how the BID is working with our community partners to further our mission of building, sustaining, and enhancing a unique and prosperous business and living environment in the Lark Street Area.
