Lark Street BID Board of Directors

The Lark Street BID has eleven (11) members on its Board of Directors. Eight (8) are elected by BID Members according to their Membership Class (A, B, C, or D) at the Annual Meeting, and three (3) are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Albany, the Common Council of the City of Albany, and the Treasurer of the City of Albany.

From the BID’s Bylaws:

A) five (5) Directors shall be owners of commercial property;

B) one (1) Director shall be an owner of residential property residing in such dwelling unit;

C) one (1) Director shall be a tenant pursuant to a commercial lease;

D) one (1) Director shall be a tenant pursuant to a residential lease;

E) three (3) Directors with one member appointed by each of the following: the Mayor of the City of Albany, the Common Council of the City of Albany, and the Treasurer of the City of Albany.

Newly elected Board Members serve a term of three (3) years.

REGISTER AS A MEMBER OF THE LARK STREET BID

If you are eligible for Class A, B, C, or D Membership with the BID, please complete our online registration process. Owners of record of real property within the Lark Street BID Corridor are considered valid Members by default, so do not need to register with us in order to vote for candidates for the Board of Directors. However, owners of record may submit an application with us if desired, or if an owner of both Commercial and Residential Properties would like to change their Class from A to B or vice versa. All tenants must register with us in order to vote, and must attach a proof of their lease to the linked application.
