This summer, the Lark Street Business Improvement District (BID), Christ's Church of Albany, Albany Public Library and Park Playhouse present Sunday Cinema, featuring two free and open-to-the-public family movie nights in Washington Park. Concessions will be provided before each movie by the Park Playhouse. Seating is limited, so be sure to bring blankets and lawnchairs! Enjoy a couple of movies on the big screen in the Washington Park Amphitheater, and bring the whole family! Sunday Cinema was made possible in part by an Amplify Albany grant from Capitalize Albany Corporation and Capital Resource Corporation, and by the City of Albany. 

If you're looking to support small, local shops and retailers while shopping for the holidays this season, the Lark Street neighborhood in Albany is your number one destination! Our corridor is filled with gift shops, clothing outlets, craft makers, art, and dining destinations you can't find anywhere else in the area.

Tickets: Entry to this event is free. Chili and Chowder will be sold by the cup for $1 at ticket booths on either end of the street. Discounted Day Pass tickets are available here. A Taste of Lark: Chili and Chowder Edition will be held on Lark Street in Albany in conjunction with the wildly popular Santa Speedo Sprint on December 16, from 12:30 PM to 4 PM. Enjoy $1 samples of chili and chowder from area restaurants and vote for your favorites as you stroll through Albany's classic Lark Street neighborhood, fully decked out for the holidays! Entry to this event is free. Tasting tickets will be sold in booths on either end of Lark Street (Lark & Madison/State St.) on the day of the event, and discounted Day Pass tickets will be available here and at participating Lark Street restaurants during the week leading up to the event. On Thursday, May 10, 2018, the Lark Street Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting its annual fundraiser, Champagne on the Park at the Washington Park formal tulip beds from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. We invite you to join us as we celebrate Lark Street and honor leaders of our community for the positive impact they continue to have on our neighborhood and the greater Capital Region. The theme this year is "Pretty in Pink!" Annual Meeting Notice Notice is hereby given to the membership of the Lark Street Neighborhood District Management Association, Inc. (a/k/a “Lark Street BID” or “Lark Street Business Improvement District”) that the Annual Meeting of the Membership shall be held on Wednesday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m. at Savoy Taproom & Restaurant, 301 Lark Street, for the purpose of receiving annual reports of officers and staff; review of financial reports of 2017; election of directors; and the transaction of other business. Please note a meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors will take place immediately following the Annual Meeting. At the time of this notice, the following seats will be selected:   (4) Owners of real commercial or residential property within the BID Corridor to serve 2-year terms, (1) Owner of real commercial or residential property within the BID Corridor to serve a 1-year term.   Nominations for the Board of Directors will be accepted until 4 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018.
