ALBANY – Lark Street in Albany is undergoing a renaissance of sorts.
Five ribbon cuttings will be held in the next seven days, marking a total of nearly 20 new businesses to set up shop in the past year.
The neighborhood has historically been bar and restaurant-heavy. However, the new businesses are more diverse and include a pet store, a barber, a boutique and a jewelry store.
The manager at Bombers, a Lark Street staple, tells NewsChannel 13 different types of stores and restaurants will attract a new crowd, which benefits all the local businesses.
